Diotima Quartet at La Maison Française

Faithful Ionarts reader Garth Trinkl submitted a comment, too lengthy to add to the last post, that prodded me into making a quick announcement about an addition to the April installment of our concert schedule. Last June, for the French-American Contemporary Music Festival at La Maison Française, the Diotima Quartet played a concert dedicated to the chamber music of Pascal Dusapin. They are back in Washington next week, for a concert just for them as part of the embassy's Contemporary Music Series:

Monday, April 10, 7:30 pm
Diotima String Quartet
Hosokawa, Silent Flowers; Berg, Lyric Suite; Webern, Six Bagatelles, op. 9; Ferneyhough, Quartet No. 2; Janáček, Quartet No. 2
La Maison Française (4101 Reservoir Road NW)
Tickets: $20 (request a reservation by sending an e-mail to Culturel.WASHINGTON-AMBA@diplomatie.gouv.fr)

Calling all Ionarts readers and fans of contemporary music: get there, please.
