  • Christophe Rousset directs Les Talens Lyriques and musicians from the Centre de Musique Baroque de Versailles in a rare performance of Antonio Sacchini's opera Renaud ou la Suite d'Armide (1783) at the Opéra Royal de Versailles, one of the works I wrote about in my doctoral dissertation.   • Listen to Schumann's orientalist oratorio Le Paradis et la Péri (1843), based on the romance Lalla Rookh by Thomas Moore, in a rare performance featuring La Chambre Philharmonique and the chamber choir Les Éléments, conducted by Emmanuel Krivine, plus soprano Rachel Harnisch and tenor Topi Lehtipuu, among others.
