Sartre after 100 Years
One of the 2005 anniversaries I missed this year is a big one. It came to my attention on the flight back from Rome that this year is the 100th anniversary of the birth of Jean-Paul Sartre. Here's a sampling of the panoply of articles:
- Michel Contat, Sartre, cent ans de liberté (Le Monde, March 11), with links to several other articles in the same issue
- Sartre : la nausée? (Le Figaro, March 10), with links to other articles
- Michel-Antoine Burnier, «Sartre gêne toujours» (Libération, March 11)
- Antoine de Baecque and Hervé Gauville, Sartre par strates (Libération, March 8)
- Jean Daniel, Sartre, malgré tout... (Le Nouvel Observateur, March 1)
