Heileen at La Muselivre (to whom I should link more often than I do) informs us that the Rentrée littéraire, that annual French celebration of new books, is about to begin. Heileen notes with interest the large number of foreign books that will be published in French translation this year, which just makes this problem that much more embarrassing.
