Say it ain't so: Dennis Fiori is leaving his post as director of the Maryland Historical Society, because the social scene is better in Boston. Oh yeah, he'll also become the new director of the Massachusetts Historical Society. Exchanging crabs and beer for lobsta' and chardonnay.
Since coming to Baltimore in 1994, Dennis has overseen a major renovation and expansion of the MDHS, including a $30 million capital campaign and merger of the former City Life Museum. Dennis is a fabulous administrator, respected historian, avid gardener, and most importantly, morning carpool dad. His new position begins in January. Good luck Dennis, we're going to miss you.
