But I must say, for me,...I enjoyed the production. But I must say, for me, it was difficult to accept Dolora Zajick as the younger "other woman." She has a great voice, but she looked as old or older than Norma. I would have believed her much more easily had she played Norma's mother. This has been one of the more widely reviewed WNO productions, and it's been interesting to see the almost uniform agreement on the quality of singing (high), but diversity of opinion on how much the scenery and direction affected the experience. jcdnoreply@blogger.com
