Yaritza Veliz Makes Debut


Charles T. Downey, Chilean soprano has a mixed D.C. debut (Washington Post, June 5)

Yaritza Veliz won first prize at the Women in Music competition last year in Santiago, Chile, beating singers from all across that country. The young Chilean soprano made her Washington debut Wednesday, presented by the Embassy of Chile in the intimate auditorium at the National Museum of Women in the Arts.
