The equation of math with counterpoint is not necessarily axiomatic, but the probability is high that J.S. Bach will headline a concert program on the theme of mathematics and music. A concert by the Phillips Camerata on Sunday afternoon at the Phillips Collection, offered in conjunction with two exhibitions on artists and mathematics at the museum, reasserted this theorem. QED.
