Visionary Flicks

glendaThe American Visionary Art Museum baptized its fabulous outdoor movie screen Thursday evening on Federal Hill, overlooking the museum and Inner Harbor. The rain was a no-show, but there was a chilly wind off the harbor. With sweaters, blankets, and popcorn, all was well.

The retractable screen, I'm guessing here, is 60' x 100' (that’s solid reporting), held up by a very cool bronzed hand. It's a very new-tech projector with wireless laptop and sound.

The first movie was The Wizard Of Oz, which was a lot of fun with everyone chiming in at their favorite parts: "I’ll get you my little pretty!"

There are four more first-Thursday "Flicks On The Hill" this summer. I predict a full hill for each one. More photos here.
